Indian Street Style Spicy Omelette Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Omelette:

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tbsp red onions, finely chopped

  • 1 hot Serrano pepper, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp tomatoes, finely chopped

  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder

  • 1/4 red chili powder (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp fresh Cilantros, finely chopped

  • Butter to grease the skillett (You may substitue with 1 tsp of an oil)

  • Salt to your taste


For the Side Tomatoes Salad:

  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced in half

  • 1/2 tsp cilantros, finely chopped for garnish

  • 1/8 tsp cumin powder

  • Salt to your taste


For the Bread:

  • 2 slices of  your favorite bread

  • Butter Stick to grease the skillett

Steps:

To Prepare the side salad:

  1. In a serving plate, place the side tomatoes salad on one side. Sprinkle with cumin, cilantros, and salt to your taste.

To make the Omelett Battered:

  1.  Beat the eggs with a fork in a bowl. Add the onions, Serrano peppers, tomatoes, cumin powder, chili powder (Optional), black pepper, cilantros, and salt to your taste. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

To make the Omelett:

  1. Heat the nonstick skillet, grease the skillet with the butter stick over medium heat.

  2. Pour the masala egg battered  evenly in round shape as shown in the picture. 

  3. Flip the Omelette once the  bottom side is done.  Let it cook on other side before sliding on the plate.

 To grill the bread on the skillet:

  1. Use the same pan, grease the  pan with butter over medium heat. 

  2. Place both breads separately on the skillet; flip both breads once the bottom side is done. Let it grill on other side before transferring to serving plate.

  3. Enjoy this Omelette with Ketchup, Bread and side tomatoes salad!
